Charlotte Friedman is a trained Psychodyamic Psychotherapist. She trained both at the Institute of Family Therapy and The Tavistock and Portman Trust in NW3. She has a BSc, and an MA. She is registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council and the Tavistock Society. She is BUPA registered.
Individuals
Charlotte sees individuals for therapy for a wide variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues and bereavement. Sometimes it is difficult to say exactly what the problem is but things don't feel right. Psychodynamic Psychotherapy provides an opportunity to talk and begin to understand often confusing and complicated feelings.
Couples
Charlotte sees couples who are experiencing relationship difficulties at any stage of their relationship, whether deciding to stay together or separate, or improve communication on separation for the sake of any children.
Families
Charlotte sees families with adult children to work through issues that may have arisen. It is useful to talk as a family with someone from outside the family listening and helping you think about what goes on.
Charlotte is trained as a Mediator, and Family Therapist and sees couples who want to get their relationship back on track or explore separating in a collaborative way. Charlotte's background is in Family Law and is a Family Consultant in the Collaborative Process.
Charlotte works in London W1, a 5 minute walk from Goodge Street tube on the Northern Line or a 10 minutes walk from Oxford Circus tube on the Victoria, Bakerloo and Central lines
